Killzone 2 is the saving force behind the PS3. The real saving force for the PS3 is the quality of the console and the depth of brand loyalty that Sony has amongst its consumers. No one game will ever define a console... Or at least I hope it never does.

Are you taking offense to an article? No claim is being made here to make users believe that this is news. It's an article, nothing more. Taking offense shows a level of insecurity and if I may advise you, take no offense to it, it's just an opinion.
Just like the opinions posted months ago about how the PS3 is doomed. Times change as do opinions and the articles reflect this. I enjoy seeing how people think about the console but I myself am more for all gaming and owning all three. Dead or not (I think it is far from it) the 360 has some great games coming out for it and those who feel the need to defend against these articles just need to worry less about the console sales and more about how the devs are bringing us all some great title...

If you have to ask your question about why people would buy the PS3 then you sir, are not a gamer. A gamer buys all three consoles out to date to have an oportunity to play all titles exclusive to those systems. It is a well known fact that Sony first party titles are great. Likewise with both MS and Nintendo. Sure we have multiplatform games that you can pick and chose what system you want them for but in the end, there will always be titles exclusive to one system. 15 months earlier than the 360 did in it's life cycle. Wow, that is the power of brand recognition. Europe has always been more prone to Sony than MS and it is showing in sales. Now with there being so many great games out for the PS3 and more to come it is no surprise that Sony will be the dominating company in both Japan (that's a given) and Europe. Next up, North America.

The first KZ had well into 10 to 12 hours worth of gameplay. I am looking forward to hitting up another 12 hours in KZ2 when it hits store shelves. I am glad they delayed it too, It would be a shame to have such heavy hitters all vying for GOTY when in fact they can delay a couple to compete for next year.
My kids will love this one. They absolutely loved Kameo and Ratchet & Clank so this is a no-brainer for me. Please the kids and become super dad!
This is not surprise to those of us who have kept up with them. They take any chance to dig at the PS3. When the PS3 is getting praises, they jump on the wagon and are quick to hide their hate but when somebody messes up and says one thing that can be taken as a negative point towards the PS3, they run with it like a child running with scissors. Sorry Kotaku, but taking you seriously is foolish and is something you will never see me do.
I have tens of thousands of gamerscore points and have concluded that they are worthless. That is MHO and not something I put on anybody else. I just have found it more rewarding to beat the game than struggle for some silly achievement that in the end, does nothing for me.
None of us cared about game sales and just loved the games themselves. I for one could care less about 5000 more copies of GTA4 being sold on any plstform and would love to hear less about sales and more about how people enjoy the game.
This is very cool. The celebration of the end of Snake. It is indeed a day to remember as those of us who played the game from the start know that this has been one wild ride and it will be sad to see it come to a close. I certainly hope we get a decent spin off of the series but if not, I will forever remember the great times I had with Snake and the gang from Metal Gear Solid.
